🌟 We're Hiring! Join the Team at Martine's Childminding 🌟
Are you passionate about working with children and helping them learn, grow, and develop? Do you love the outdoors and enjoy making a positive difference in your local community?
We're looking for a kind, friendly, and enthusiastic Childminding Assistant to join our small, happy setting where children and families are at the heart of everything we do.

💛 What we're looking for: ✅ A passion for supporting children's learning and development✅ A caring, positive, and friendly attitude✅ Excellent communication skills with children and families✅ A commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times✅ A love of outdoor learning and play✅ Flexibility to work additional hours when required✅ Willingness to undergo a PVG check (or already hold a current PVG membership)
💷 Pay: £13.00 - £14.00 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)

Yesterday, we had a wonderful time harvesting broad beans and onions and then helping to prepare a delicious meal of fried broad beans and onions served with oatcakes and cheese. Sharing this meal with friends in the community made it even more enjoyable.
Things always taste better when they are shared with good friends. It was also a great learning opportunity for everyone to discover where food comes from and to appreciate the time, care, and effort involved in growing and preparing fresh produce from garden to table.

Today we said goodbye to one of our crew members, Isabella, as she gets ready to start her exciting school journey in August.
It has been an absolute pleasure watching Isabella grow, learn, and develop over the past two years. She has brought so much joy, laughter, kindness, and fun to our setting, and we are so proud of everything she has achieved.
While we will miss her smiling face and infectious laugh, we know she is more than ready for this next adventure. We wish you all the luck in the world, Isabella keep shining, keep learning, and most importantly, keep being you! 💖

Burns Night Celebration
To mark Burns Night, we held a special celebration last Friday honouring all things Scottish. The children looked fantastic in their Scottish outfits and enjoyed a range of activities, including tasting traditional dishes such as mince and tatties, dancing to Scottish music, reciting their poem, creating windmill flags, and baking shortbread biscuits. It was a wonderful day filled with fun, learning, and being proud of Scottish heritage.
