Devonport High School For Boys | Plymouth Devonport High School for Boys is a grammar school and academy, for boys aged 11 to 18, in Plymouth, Devon, England. We have around 1,135 pupils. Our catchment area includes southwest Devon and southeast Cornwall as well as Plymouth.

I’m beginning to think about next year so if you’re on my waiting list for 11+ tuition I will be in touch this week.

Great news…Our Home-Ed Science Club in Mid Devon starts soon 🎉

These are not sit-and-watch sessions -  they are fully hands-on science experience for ages 4–11, where children experiment, build and explore.

Across the 4 action-packed 90 min sessions, your child will:

PHSG Open Event

Our next open event:
Monday 29th June 2026, from 4.30pm - 6.30pm.
Booking for this event is not required.
The event will include a talk by the Headteacher, Mr Underdown, and a tour of our school, visiting the various subject departments and student spaces.

Open Events Please note that we will not be able to offer parking on the school site for this event; however, there are car parks nearby on North Hill and Mutley Plain.

DHSG Open Event 23rd April 5pm

Open Events This event is for students and parents/carers in years 4 and 5.  The event will start at 5pm, with a talk from the Head Teacher and students in the main hall, followed by tours of the school.

Any ex parents wanting to sell the GL papers please let me know.

If any of my past students / parents have GL papers that want to get rid off please post below. Condition and price. Letters have gone out to this years students today.
