Running on Mondays 6.30-7.30pm at the Red and Black Club in Tavistock starting on Monday 1st November.
Running on Thursdays from 8.10pm at Bere Alston Parish Hall in the meeting room starting Thursday 4th November.

Delivered by an experience Self-Defence and Martial Arts instructor teaching everything you need to know that isn’t taught on most Self-Defence courses
We’re going to cover
• Why people become victims
• Situational awareness
• Some basic conflict management
• How to get help
• What is reasonable force, if you don’t understand this, you’re not able to justify acting in self-defence
• Disengagement from hair pulls, clothing grabs, strangles, write grabs, head locks and bear hugs
• Self-defence at work
• Strikes
Course run by Steve, who is a Btec Self-defence qualified instructor. Steve also delivers courses in conflict management and challenging behaviour, whist teaching martial arts for over 16 years.

Petition: Allow Martial Arts to be on the GCSE/A Level syllabus. Martial arts such as judo, taekwondo and karate have been dropped from approved activities as part of the GCSE and A Level curriculum. Martial arts promote self discipline, self confidence, respect as well as an excellent way to improve all round fitness and not to mention teaching self defence.

This compilation depicts the initial arrest of various individuals using Hayanawa methods (Note the short length of rope fitted with a Hebiguchi / Jakuguchi) following their capture with the use of Torimono-Sandogu (Sasumata, Tsukubo, Sodegarami) or Jujtsu like grappling.
