🌿 Music Inspiration - Behind the Song
Slipping Like Sand
Getting older can bring changes that we don’t always talk about.
Sometimes, inside, we still feel the same - but our body asks us to slow down, rest a little more, or accept that some things aren’t quite as easy as they once were.
Slipping Like Sand came from wanting to put those feelings into words and share them with the people we love.
It can be difficult to explain that needing to sit down, take more time or ask for help doesn't mean we are giving up, fading away or becoming a different person. We may not be able to do everything we once did, but the love, humour, memories and person underneath are very much still there.
One line sums it up beautifully: “I’m still me… just a little more gently now.”
I hope the song people express something that they may have been feeling but haven’t known how to say - and perhaps helps those who love them understand a little better too.

🌿 More Than Exercise
What keeps us coming back each week?
It’s more than stretching.
More than strengthening.
More than keeping active.
It’s the smiles as we arrive.
The familiar faces.
The laughter we share.
The encouragement we give one another.
The quiet satisfaction of discovering we can do a little more than we thought we could.
I’d love to hear how the classes have supported you.
Perhaps you’ve noticed a difference in your strength, balance, mobility or confidence—or maybe it’s the friendship, laughter and sense of belonging that have made a difference.
If you’d be happy to share your experience, please write a few words and give them to me or send me a message. With your permission, I may share your success in a future newsletter. Your comments can include your name or remain anonymous—the choice is entirely yours.
