Gwenno (Gwenno Saunders)sings in Welsh and Cornish and has now been nominated for a Mercury Prize for her album Tresor. Born in Cardiff, the daughter of a Cornish poet she supports Welsh independence and was previously in an indie group. I can see some similarities to Cate Le Bon (also Welsh) and artists I really rate like Stereolab.
