These amazing photographs of our forest were taken by pupils in Badger Class during their Outdoor Learning with Mrs Adams. 📸
Their mini project is 'Woodland Perspectives' and is part of the evidence gathering for our Woodland Trust Green Trees Platinum Award.
Queen Elizabeth II artwork by Badger Class. They are all so unique. We have been learning about the Queen in preparation for her Platinum Jubilee. 👑

Please contact the school office to arrange for collection. Wheelbarrow is on site to help you load up.
Some photos from our KS2 ‘Book at Bedtime’ as part of our World Book Day celebrations. Such a fun and cosy evening. We are lucky to have such a lovely library and so many children who love books and get so much pleasure from reading.
Well here’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for! The PTA Christmas raffle draw. Good luck everyone!
The final post from yesterday’s East Quantoxhead walk yesterday. Thank you to all of Badger Class for doing so well and for their excellent behaviour and manners. It was certainly noted by the staff at Kilve Court. They were a credit to the school and their parents.
We finished off with a disco. The photos are a bit blurry as the children can certainly move! A great way to finish off our last night. A walk in the Quantocks tomorrow before we all come home.
We then moved on to grass sledging. Lots more fun had here before an afternoon of ‘jumblies’ - map skills to find scrambled words.
Crate tower building on the high ropes course to start off our morning.
All finished off with a quiz this evening and a visit from Mrs Adams too!
Some mountain biking too.
We also did some air rifle shooting.
We also did the stream/mud walk this morning. They had a fantastic time. I’m sorry about all the washing coming your way on Friday 😂
We didn’t get rained on today! We had a great start to the morning with the low ropes obstacle course. Some excellent teamwork was needed - plus some gravity-defying balance skills!
This afternoon was all about team building with some fun activities.
This morning has been another good day. We started off with climbing and abseiling.
Some circus skills in the dark. It turns out we have some secret circus performers in our midst!
Chilling out after getting dried off and eating a yummy spaghetti bolognese for dinner!
Just a few photos from the beach this afternoon.
We’ve had a great first day at Kilve. We started out with a walk to Kilve beach to look for some fossils. It was very wet but we all had lots of fun. Lots of clean plates at dinner time 🙂. Now we’re doing some circus skills ready to put on a show!
Photos to follow once the children are in bed.
Farewell to all of our amazing Year 6 children! We are so proud of you all and know you will all do brilliantly in your futures ahead.

“Frohe Ostern” - that’s Happy Easter in German!
Badgers have been learning about German Easter traditions in their German lessons. In particular, blowing and painting eggs to hang on a branch or tree outside your home in time for Easter. Here they are with their Easter tree, which has been proudly outside the entrance to the classroom this week. 🥚🐣🎨🐇🇩🇪
Just a last shout out for any more entries for the PTA Easter colouring competition. We will still accept entries brought in tomorrow (Monday). Maybe something to do on a wet Sunday!
Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is non-uniform for Red Nose Day. Wear a colour that makes you happy and bring a joke to share with your teachers!
Bring a donation for Comic Relief.
Our ‘Masked Reader’ film should now be live and available to watch in Google Classroom through the children’s accounts.
Have fun guessing! 🎭 📚
We have been testing out the new adventure playground! It looks amazing and is waiting for all the children when they return on Monday. 😊☀️
A few more progress pictures from our new adventure playground - it’s starting to take shape!
PLEASE NOTE: The work has been delayed this week due to the rain ☔️ so will continue into next week.
Therefore, any Badger Class parents dropping off or collecting from the car park, please do take care. The contractors will also be using this area to park etc.
Our Science topic this half term in Badger Class has been Space - with a particular focus on NASA’s current mission to Mars. Badgers at school and at home have been designing and building rovers and landing crafts as well as learning about the challenges faced in any mission to Mars.
The landing of the rover, Perseverance, is today (Thursday 18th February) and is being streamed live online. It may be a little late in the evening UK time (touchdown expected 20:55) but just in case anyone wanted to watch, the link is below.
Let’s hope it’s a successful landing!
