We are absolutely delighted to share some exciting news with you all! 🌟

All four of our learning rooms, Cocoons, Acorns, Caterpillars and Butterflies, now have their very own dedicated sensory areas, complete with beautiful bubble tubes. 🫧

These calming spaces have been thoughtfully created to support children’s self-regulation and promote calm, positive behaviour. Our staff use the sensory areas throughout the day to help children manage big feelings, take quiet moments when needed, and feel safe and secure in their environment.

As well as being calming, these areas are truly magical spaces that spark curiosity and imagination. The gentle movement of the bubbles, the soft lighting, and the soothing atmosphere help to create moments of wonder and awe, encouraging children to explore, observe, and ask questions about the world around them.

Sensory play is such an important part of early childhood development. It supports:

✨ Focus and concentration
✨ Social skills
✨ Independence and confidence

We are so proud to continue enhancing our learning environments to ensure they are nurturing, inspiring and inclusive for every child. If you’d like to know more about how we use our sensory areas within the day, please feel free to speak to your child’s key person.

This week in our Caterpillar Room the children will be learning all about personal hygiene 🧼✨

The children will be exploring our curiosity cube and a variety of fun resources to discover how we can look after ourselves and keep our bodies happy and healthy.

We’ve also introduced a nose-wiping station to encourage independence, helping the children build confidence as they practise caring for themselves throughout the day 👃💪

We will reopen on Monday 5th January 2026, and we’re very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back for the New Year and another exciting term ahead.🎄

The past couple of weeks have been very busy in our Caterpillars room and we’ve loved exploring, creating and learning together!

The children have enjoyed a wide range of hands-on, sensory activities, using blocks, shapes and loose parts to explore patterns, colours and shapes, as well as sorting, counting and building their own creations.

We’ve been getting creative with our tuff tray play, from animal habitats and small world play to messy, sensory mark-making that supports fine motor skills and imagination.

We’ve also been learning about and celebrating special events and stories, including Diwali, Remembrance Day, Children in Need, and seasonal favourites like Stick Man and festive fun 🎄. These activities have helped the children talk about celebrations, similarities and differences, and express themselves through art and play.

It’s been wonderful to see so much curiosity, teamwork and concentration as the children explore and learn through play.

This incredible result is a reflection of their hard work, dedication, and attention to detail every single day.

Our kitchen staff go above and beyond to provide the children with healthy, nutritious, and delicious meals, all while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. 🍎🥦🍝

🎓✨ Graduation 2025 heading into their Reception Era ✨🎓

This September, our wonderful group of Little Explorers will be ready to learn, grow, and shine even brighter.

From tiny hands holding paintbrushes to big smiles at story time, you’ve filled our days with laughter, curiosity, and love. We couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved and the amazing people you are becoming.

Our graduation celebration was filled with joy, hugs, and happy tears… and just like Taylor says - “there’s glitter on the floor after the party!” 🪩💖

Good luck in Reception. You will always be part of our Little Explorers family. Go and show the world all the magic that’s in you. 🌟📚
