Unfortunately we've had to cancel Sunday's session due to lack of sign ups. Our next session will be on Sunday 27th October and we would love to see some of you there! More details to follow 🙂

Just a reminder that our next session will be on Sunday 29th September at a new time of 10am - 12pm!

We will be heading out to Longrun Meadow with our litter pickers and bin bags, before heading back to base to look at some of the work done by Kids Against Plastic. https://kidsagainstplastic.co.uk

We will then make some posters to encourage others to stop littering, which you can take home to put up in your local community.

We will provide all the materials, all you need to bring is yourself!

If you'd like to book your place, please pop us a message or send an email to [email protected].

We look forward to seeing you there 🙂

Kids Against Plastic (KAP) aims to help young people (and not so young people) to learn about environmental issues such as plastic pollution and the Climate Crisis.

A beautiful sunny afternoon - perfect for our wildlife watchers to spot butterflies! We found lots of meadow browns and gatekeepers as well as a couple of commas! We also found a pretty cool looking tiger moth.

Then we looked under some leaves that looked like they had been a little bit munched, and discovered LOADS of baby buff tip moth caterpillars as well as some spangle gall wasp eggs!

It got a bit hot out there, so we came inside and made some butterfly gliders and dream catchers!

Thanks for coming along 😊

Spaces available on this afternoon’s big butterfly count.

Book in via DM or email

Those coming along, there is an app on this page which means you can contribute to the Big Butterfly Count and be part of citizen science! It’s free and just helps log what you find 😊

Be part of this nationwide survey and help take the pulse of nature. Butterfly declines reveal the poor health of the environment. We need your sightings.

Just look at these stunning accessories our wildlife watchers made!

Beautiful bracelets, bookmarks and tote bags. All from foraged wild flowers! We found lots of oxe eye daisies, purple vetch, clover, buttercups and fox n cubs!

The children used them to print onto bags and we had great fun using the mallets!! 😂

Easy experiment! 1 dandelion and 1 glass of water!
