Yesterday, author Lauren St John visited our Year 7 and 8 pupils to talk about her latest book, Wild Horse Summer. 📖 🐴

Students enjoyed discovering more about the creative writing process, hearing about Lauren's experiences as an author, and asking plenty of insightful questions.

A fantastic opportunity to spark imaginations and inspire the next generation of storytellers! ✨📖

We’re delighted to share that the blue team landed at Cap Gris Nez yesterday evening after an incredible 12 hours and 48 minutes of swimming! 🎉👏

This achievement marks the completion of all three English Channel crossings undertaken by this year’s cohort, with 18 students aged just 13 successfully swimming the 21-mile route from Dover to France.

This year, students chose to raise funds for Compass Wellbeing, a Taunton-based charity, and we are thrilled to announce that they have now raised more than £11,000.

The biggest congratulations go to every student who took part. Their determination, resilience and teamwork throughout this extraordinary challenge have been truly inspiring and we could not be prouder! 💙💪

The swell has picked up in the English Channel, making this already incredible feat even more challenging - but this resilient group of students have trained for these exact conditions and they continue to take every wave in their stride. 🌊👏

As the challenge continues into the evening, we could not be prouder of the courage, teamwork and perseverance we have seen today. You’ve got this, blue team! 💪💙
