The Brambles Day Nursery

Today, our preschoolers got the chance to walk over to Norton Manor Camp and lay a poppy wreath that we had made in their memorial garden.
Before heading out, the children watched a short video all about Remembrance Day and why we wear poppy’s. The children also each coloured in a poppy to wear on their coats during our visit to show their respects.
The children did an excellent job of walking over to camp and all the way to memorial garden, looking at a range of different things on our way over.
Once we reached the memorial garden, we had a small talk about the memorial statue and what Remembrance Day symbolises, before one of our children, whose dad is a marine, laid our poppy wreath down.
We were then lucky enough to be taken on a little tour of the camp, where we got to see lots more wonderful things such as the helicopter pad and the camps elephant mascot. The children all did a wonderful job and made everyone at Brambles proud.

Today, we celebrated all our wonderful preschool leavers. It was such a special day filled with smiles, laughter, proud moments, and maybe even a few happy tears. 🥹

It has been a pleasure having your child with us at The Brambles, whether they’ve been with us for 4 years or just the 1, they’ve truly created a special place in all our hearts and we will miss them so much. 💛

Also, a big thank you to the owls room staff and management for making graduation happen and all the hard work they’ve done throughout the year. 🥰

The Brambles Day Nursery is currently recruiting an experienced and qualified level 3 nursery practitioner.
You must have a warm smiley face that makes all children feel loved.
You will preferably have a little bit of quirkiness, if a child requests that you be a princess, you will be the best fairy-tale princess you can be.
The ability to sing in tune is not necessary, however the ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential.
Possessing the skill required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people is of upmost importance. Pretending to eat play dough creations realistically is required, this is a skill that may develop with time and experience.
The ability to remember the names of many children, their parents, siblings, grandparents, pets and special toys is a key component of this job.
You must feel comfortable sitting on furniture that does not contain all of your behind.
Authentically showing an interest in and curiosity for bugs and creepy crawlies is essential, even if they are your biggest fear on earth.
You must be prepared to have a lot of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to engage in for a large part of your working day.
Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families. There is simply no other job quite like this one.

Unfortunately we have no power due to the storm on Saturday. We are unable to open Monday but should be reconnected by 8pm Monday evening.
