A vacancy has arisen for an experienced General Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly yet busy catering team.

They should be suitability qualified and possess an up to date Level 2 Food Hygiene and Handling Certificate.
Working as part of a team your daily tasks will mainly consist of:

Food preparation,Maintaining high standards of presentation of food Serving, cleaning and washing up,General kitchen duties,Demonstrating patience when working with and serving food to young children.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Records with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).The Caterer is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Delicious and Nutritious school meals are freshly prepared and Cooked each day with the children ordering, in advance, from a lovely varied menu that works on a four week cycle. Our fantastic catering team, produce real proper 'home cooked' meals and desserts that are being greatly enjoyed by the children (and staff lol).

All dietary needs catered for, with our Kitchen, keen to listen to the children's ideas and feedback then we can redevelop their menu accordingly.

The children tell us that the food is really really good because it's fresh and tasty, it is lovely and hot and they want to try new tastes too.
