Little hands, big discoveries! 🍂✨

This week at Brock House has been full of muddy mixtures, autumn sunshine and balancing adventures! From exploring pots and pans in the mud kitchen to working out locks and latches, our children have been busy following their curiosity, practising new skills and enjoying time together. 🤎

So much discovery in the everyday magic of play! 🌿

🍂 September at Brock House Day Nursery 🍂

A month of growing, exploring, creating and connecting! 💚

From harvesting beans and discovering autumn treasures on our walks to painting, building and making music, September has been full of opportunities to follow the children’s curiosity. 🌱🎨🎶

Alongside these discoveries, we’ve been welcoming new faces, nurturing friendships and helping children feel at home as they settle into their nursery routines.

Through play, caring relationships and time to explore, little moments become valuable opportunities for learning. We’re looking forward to the adventures October will bring! 🍁

🍂 Autumn term dates for your diary 🍂

A reminder for families whose children attend term time only:

📅 Autumn Term 1: Thursday 3rd September – Friday 23rd October 2026
📅 October half term: Monday 26th – Friday 30th October 2026
📅 Autumn Term 2: Monday 2nd November – Friday 18th December 2026
📅 Christmas holidays: Monday 21st December 2026 – Monday 4th January 2027

There are no term-time-only sessions during the holiday periods above. Families attending all year round should refer to our separate Christmas opening and closure notice.

Please pop these dates in your diary. If you’re unsure how they apply to your child’s sessions, please speak to a member of the team.

🎄 A little early notice of our Christmas opening and closures, to help our families plan ahead! 📅

The nursery will be closed on:
⭐ Thursday 24th December — Christmas Eve
⭐ Friday 25th December — Christmas Day
⭐ Monday 28th December
⭐ Tuesday 29th December
⭐ Wednesday 30th December
⭐ Friday 1st January — New Year’s Day

We will be OPEN on Thursday 31st December — New Year’s Eve.

Please pop these dates in your diary so you have plenty of time to arrange any childcare you may need. ❤️
