News for broadcasts on 10Radio, and for my Diary as a linguist. ✅👏👏😎🥰😏🎉

Taunton has been linked with Lisieux in Normandy since 1949 when a group of young people and their youth leaders visited and camped in Vivary Park. The link was formalised with a twinning charter in 1955, making it one of Europe's longest-running Civic twinning arrangements.
Their next AGM is at Deane House on the 19 September at 5.30pm. The group are keen to recruit new members so that the link can continue well into the future, so why not come along and find out more. Learn more about Civic twinning here 👉https://ow.ly/WcKt50PLtRX 🍎🤝🍏

Sharing this post from Kate Clifton...

I’m really looking forward to presenting this webinar in September!
Here’s what I’ll be talking about:
In this webinar, Kate will walk you through her teaching philosophy of "exploiting one text". Instead of trying to find different texts for listening, reading, writing, speaking and translations, Kate will show you how to use one good quality text and exploit it in a number of different ways for each skill.
Not only does it save you masses of time, but using just one text also enables students to understand the vocabulary and grammar in more depth and ultimately use it to produce their own language.
The "exploiting one text" technique can be used for any language and any level, from complete beginners to the most advanced students.

Hope to see you there!
