The Granny Gruffalo has arrived! 🍂🐾📚

Recently we’ve been focusing on our new book, Granny Gruffalo, and the children have been loving it!

We’ve enjoyed reading the story together, going on a Granny Gruffalo hunt, building dens, making Granny Gruffalo soup and lots more!

We’ve also been learning what it means to be a vegetarian, talking about what might make Granny Gruffalo a vegetarian and exploring the difference between foods that vegetarians do and don’t eat.

We’ve still got lots more activities and fun days out planned around our Granny Gruffalo story, so there’s plenty more fun to come!

Alongside focusing on our Granny Gruffalo book, the children have also been enjoying trips to the village parks, going on walks to collect conkers (which we now have LOTS of 😂), playing in the mud kitchen and having plenty of outdoor fun! 🍂🌳🥰

We love capturing all the special little moments the children have with us, from playing and learning to all our adventures together. 🤍

Photos showing children’s faces will only be shared on our private Facebook parent group and private Instagram for our childminding families.

Our public page will still share updates, activities and ideas, but any photos of the children will only show things like the back of them, their hands or arms, never their faces.

We will always respect each family’s photography consent and keep the children’s safety and privacy our priority. 🥰

Alongside building the bug house 🐜🐛, the children have enjoyed playing outside. They’ve had fun in the garden 🪴, going to the beach 🏖️, having picnics 🍓🍰🍊, playing with crazy foam, and exploring. On the hotter days, they enjoyed playing with lots of water to help them cool down 💦

This month, the children showed an interest in bugs, insects, and where they live. They asked to make a big bug house, so we made one together. 🐞🐛🐜

The children enjoyed going on walks to collect leaves 🍃 , sticks 🪵, grass, and flowers 🌸 to put inside the bug house. They also enjoyed learning about the different bugs and insects that might come to live there.

The children had lots of fun collecting the materials, building the bug house, painting it, and decorating it 🎨🖌️. They have really enjoyed this activity and love going into the garden to see what bugs and other little creatures have visited their bug house.

What a busy time the children have had at Julie’s house lately… 😊🏡✨

The children have enjoyed playing with lots of water play 💦, going to the park 🛝🌳, visiting the supermarkets to collect ingredients for their teas and snacks 🛒🍎🥪, going to the field 🌿☀️, meeting up with other local childminders 👧👦🤝, colouring 🎨🖍️, and lots more! 💛😊
