We’re back! Does your child have gaps in their maths or English? We can help. A lot of our centres have reopened and you can trust us to keep in line with the Government’s guidelines to be COVID-19 secure:
• We’ll help students and centre staff to stay 1 metre socially distanced in all areas, with seating arrangements, and when entering or leaving our centre.
• We’ll respect the guidance for tuition settings and make sure that there is no sharing of worksheets, pens or other classroom items. Don’t worry though, someone will always be ready to help students find what they need!
• We’ve set up hygiene stations at entrances and exits with hand sanitisers.
• We’ll ensure everyone over the age of 11 wears a mask at all times.
• We’ll give extra time between classes for thorough cleaning of frequently touched surfaces.
• We’ll actively invite our students to clean hands more often than usual and encourage good respiratory hygiene by promoting the ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’ approach.
• We’ll provide easy to follow rules to minimise contact with individuals who are unwell, so that those who have COVID-19 symptoms, or have someone in their household who does, will not attend our centre.

In light of the recent announcements, we at First Class Learning Taunton intend to continue to support all students to achieve consistent progress, and ensure a confident return to mainstream schooling.

Classes will be closed from now, although students will receive posted or hand delivered materials on a regular basis along with video/phone calls for tutoring wherever needed.

At First Class Learning, we aim to develop your child's knowledge and understanding, providing them with a solid foundation in maths and English. The materials are ideally suited to encourage independent home based study skills, through a carefully constructed ‘step by step’ approach so learning for our students can continue.

It is believed that Ancient Egyptians used complex mathematics such as algebra, arithmetic and geometry as far back as 3000 BC. It is said that they used equations to approximate the area of circles.

I only need someone to help my lovely English students for just one hour a week on a Monday, 3:30 to 4:30, to begin with, eventually increasing to two hours a week.

The role requires the successful candidate to provide support for English to students of all ages from primary through to secondary while they complete their English work. They will be supervising a table of up to 5 students at a time and will need to help them with their corrections from their homework and oversee their classwork tasks that have been set for that day, giving guidance where needed.

You must have a high level of understanding of the English language, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
