Another reason to celebrate our brilliant teachers!👏

A huge congratulations to Mrs Litton, Mr Bussell and Mrs Davey, from the Senior School, who have all achieved HPL Expert Teacher status, with Mrs Litton also becoming an HPL Teacher Leader.

High Performance Learning is built around the belief that ability is not fixed or predetermined and that, with the right teaching, challenge and support, every pupil can make progress and achieve their personal best.

Becoming an HPL Expert Teacher takes real commitment to putting that belief into practice in the classroom, so this is a fantastic achievement for all three.

🐻 We’re officially a Bristol Bears Partner School!

We’re incredibly excited to announce a new partnership with Bristol Bears, creating even more opportunities for our aspiring rugby players at Queen’s. 🏉

The partnership will give pupils the opportunity to be monitored for talent identification, access enhanced development pathways and gain valuable insight into the professional game.

And there’s already a strong link between Queen’s and the Bears. Our Head of Rugby, Mr Smith, also coaches with Bristol Bears, creating a genuine connection between school and club and a clear pathway for ambitious players looking to take their rugby further.

We’re very proud to join the Bristol Bears Partner School network and are so excited about what this could mean for the future of rugby at Queen’s💛

We promise, this all made perfect sense at the time… 😂

Last week, our Sixth Form pupils spent the day getting to know each other, taking on team challenges, competing for prizes and, most importantly, building the friendships and relationships that are such a big part of Sixth Form life at Queen’s.

These clips might not make much sense, but they do prove that there's never a dull moment in Queen’s Sixth Form!💛

What do you do when SpongeBob walks into your Performing Arts lesson? 🍍🧽

Professional actor and performer Lewis Cornay, who played SpongeBob in the UK tour of The SpongeBob Musical, joined us for a very special day.

Our Prep pupils learnt a routine straight from the show, our Performing Arts Scholars acted out real scenes and received notes from the man who knows them best, before Lewis joined our Elf cast to work on bringing their own characters to life.

But beyond the performance tips came a message for every young person with a dream: go all in. Work hard, take every opportunity and believe that it could be you one day!

There’s something pretty powerful about hearing that from someone who once had the same dream🥹

Padel is officially on the curriculum at Queen’s!🎾 🎉

Since the new courts opened on campus, we’ve been making the most of having one of the world’s fastest-growing sports right on our doorstep, with padel now part of PE and Games lessons.

That means it isn’t just there for those who already play. Pupils across the school, from the youngest over in Pre Prep, to our eldest in Sixth Form, are getting the chance to pick up a racket, learn the game and give something new a go!🙌

For those who catch the padel bug, there are also opportunities to play beyond lessons through our co-curricular programme🎾
