Yesterday we went on an adventure around the grounds at Nettlecombe Court in search of slow worms! After all the recent sunshine we were unlucky that rainy skies prevented our reptile refugia from being inhabited. However, on our walk we created some excellent journey sticks, learnt about the 6 native reptile species that we have in the UK and met an old oak tree a few hundred years older than us!
Our next Wildlife Watch Club will be Saturday 26th September, watch this space for more information!

Outdoor learning increases "social confidence, sense of belonging in a large cohort, environmental awareness and sense of diversity within the UK" - a direct quote from a teacher that visited Nettlecombe Court last term.
So far we have raised £4,100- giving 120 young people the opportunity to take part in outdoor learning. But we have big ambitions to close the gap, we need your help!
