TRAVEL UPDATE:
We have landed in the UK🇬🇧✈️. We have just got onto the bus from Heathrow, ETA at school - 10am. We will keep you posted if this changes.

Day 26 - Final project bits & rest afternoon

Today we finished our projects for the final time. We emptied the dried set water jars of clay.💦 We then moved onto digging compost holes for a medicinal garden!🦋 It was hard work but everyone pushed through knowing it was the last time👷🏼

In total since the beginning of our expedition we have completed the following for local communities:
• A well 💦
• Two gardens🌱🌿
• A toilet 🚽
• The clearing of a football pitch 🌱⚽
• Teaching English 👩‍🏫📖
• Extending a playground
• A chicken coop 🐔
• Two water pots 💦
• 164 tiles👷🏼
• 20 concrete rings 🦺
• A giant concrete ring

Fair to say we have left our mark on the communities here and given them a better quality of life!

For our final meal in camp we had Spaghetti Bolognese🍝 and chips🍟. Erin and Leif created a lovely sign to leave behind in camp to summarise our time here.

Time to return to some normality very soon...✈️

Day 25 - Teaching English & concreting the school playground🏫🎒📖

It was our final full day of project today with a half day tomorrow. We taught 8-16 year olds English. Topics included vegetables🥕, fruit🍓 and sentences!

Second half of the day involved concreting and extending the school playground making it safe for the students to use!

Half day of project tomorrow, followed by reflection and packing🧳

Day 24 - Elizabeth's birthday🎊 & Project water🌊💦

Today we finished two water pots & 110 tiles!! The water pots are to help the local community with their water supply in the dry season, meaning more children can attend school rather than look for water!👩‍🏫📖

Spirits were high and things got messy, we had to step on the clay with our feet so that we could mould it👣🧱

In the evening we celebrated Elizabeths birthday with cake and kareoke.

Final full day of project tomorrow!!!🙌🏼

Day 23 - Mission chicken coop🐣🐔 ✅
In the morning, we finished our chicken coop project!!

As we finished early we had the afternoon learning about Cambodian marriage then walked to the local shop to eat ice cream🍦🍨🍧

This eve we are playing the game werewolf.

Day 22 - Eddie's birthday & Project work🥳

Today, we built a chicken coop for a local family🐔🐣 this included thatching the roof, nailing the wooden frame together and building a huge fence to go around the coop!

In the evening, ironically we ate chicken🍗 and had birthday cake 🍰🎂

Day 21 - Arriving in Camp Beng Mealea⛺

Today we travelled from Siem Reap to Camp Beng Mealea. Once we arrived we had an afternoon to relax (set up camp cluedo - all will be explained)❓❓❓

Then we went on a tour to look at our projects over the next few days.👷🏼👷🏼‍♂️

After the tour, we visited a monastery. Whilst there we had another water blessing to wish us good luck and had a red bracelet placed on our wrist by the monk to symbolise this.❤️🕍🤲🏻💦

Day 20 - Angkor Wat & Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider) Temples 🏯🙏🏼🤲🏻

This evening, we are off to a circus - photos to follow tomorrow!🎪🤹

Day 19 - Exploring Siem Reap City🏙️

Today we had a busy day looking around Siem Reap, we had our first lie in of the trip till 8:30am! Followed by an all you can eat breakfast at the hotel with pancakes🥞!

After breakfast we headed to another market to buy souvenirs. Followed by some lunch which was 🍕!

In the afternoon we drove to the Tomle Sap Lake💦 where we saw the floating village🛶

Lots of good food consumed today.

Day 14 - Travel day
Today we travelled from Camp Beng Pae to Camp Beng Mealea where we start our trek tomorrow🏕️

The journey was only 3 hrs, in the afternoon we had a briefing telling us all about the trek!

Plan is to cover 50km (31miles) over 4 days 🥾👣✅
