After bringing so much kindness, laughter, encouragement and care to Hatch Beauchamp Primary School, Mr Harnett is heading off to begin an exciting new chapter at his new school. While we're absolutely delighted for him.... we will miss his presence at school dearly! 🥹

Join us as we celebrate everything Mr Harnett has done for our children, our families, our staff and our school community. From his friendly smile and endless patience to his unwavering support and ability to brighten even the busiest school day, he's made a lasting difference to so many lives.

Come along to help us say thank you, share your favourite memories, wish him all the very best, and remind him that once you're part of the Hatch family, you're always part of the Hatch family. 💙

Let's give him a farewell that's as warm, generous and memorable as he has been to all of us.

2026 Residential - Day 2 - Wildwood Devon 🐻

We saved the best until last ... BAREFOOT SWAMP WALK!! 🤎 The children, Mr Rowe, Spence and Mrs Lovell got well and truly stuck in with this one! This was by far the favourite activity of the trip! 👏 Super proud of our children, this was out of the comfort zone for many, but they did it and had a blast! 💥

Mr Rowe enjoyed hosing everyone down after too 😂

Den Building and Fire Starting activities to kick start our day 💥🔥🪵🌳

Mr Harnett was in his element making the fire 🔥 and we think he and Mr Rowe enjoyed 'testing' how waterproof the children's dens were even more! 💧💧😂

2026 Residential - Day 1 - Wildwood Devon 🐻

After dinner we ventured into the park and headed out for a blind folded night walk 🌙🪵🌳 we think Mrs Lovell, Spence and Mrs Evans had more fun throwing the children off course with branches from behind the trees along the way though 🤭😂

We arrived and settled in at Yurt Village, engaged in some team building activities and took on the Beech Maze in the main park - do we think Mr Rowe found the exit or snuck out the entrance? 🤔😂

🐻 What a wonderful day visit we’ve had at Wildwood Devon! 🐻

🦊 Our children have enjoyed an amazing experience - we saw bears, wolves, otters, owls and so many other incredible animals – the list is endless!

🍄 We are incredibly proud of all of our pupils, who have been an absolute pleasure to take out for the day. Their wonderful manners, enthusiasm and polite behaviour have been a true credit to Hatch Beauchamp Primary School.

We are just settling down in our yurts after our first fantastic fun-filled day here on residential. ☀️🏕🪵

We are having an absolute blast, and will be sharing lots of pictures when we're back in school next week. 🥰❤️💛

Today our Year 6's got to go to Taunton Minster and celebrate their final primary school year with other schools within our Diocese - Diocese of Bath & Wells. ⛪️

It was a beautiful service and an honour to be part of. ☺️

Our Year 6s were presented with a pocket-sized bible each on arrival, paraded our school logo banner alongside all the other schools and were presented with a candle as part of the service. 🕯⛪️

The candle they will hand over to our Year 5s at their leavers service when they pass on the role of head of the school to them 🥲
