I've had a couple of enquiries for tutoring, which I am super grateful for, but it reminded me that I hadn't posted an update on here.
I am now on maternity leave from both my job and tutoring as I am due my first baby next week!
I will be back to limited online tutoring only in January so if you want to add your name to the list please feel free to message me, or get back in touch in the New Year and we can discuss availability 😊

Well it's definitely been a while but we are back!
A lot has changed since the last time I posted- a step away from full time teaching and a new move into a new career. But now I am settled in I am ready to pick back up and have space for new and existing clients!

Happy New Year to all! Started the year as we meant to go on with a lovely 6 mile walk around the Quantocks. Fresh air and exercise is so good for the mind and body, and after lots of lovely walks and family time I am now ready to push ahead with tutoring in 2023.🎉

My New Year's Resolution is to make more time for tutoring and help even more students, so if anyone knows of someone looking for a science and/or psychology tutor please send them this way, share my page, spread the word!🗣️

Back from a wonderful half term break in Chicago. A highlight was the Field Museum, learning all about evolution of species. Every day is a school day after all! 😁

🙋‍♀️ Why do I charge different prices for online and in-person?

🅰️This is to cover the additional travel costs and time of driving to in-person sessions

🙋‍♀️Why do I charge different rates for different year groups?

🅰️This is due to the increased planning time that is needed outside of the 1 hour session for GCSE and A Level content. I want to make sure my students get the maximum out of their tutoring, and this means I spend lots of time tailoring my resources, finding the best exam questions and planning activities that work best for them. As the content becomes more complex, the planning does too! Also, for my GCSE and A Level students, I offer more marking of longer response Qs to further boost their progress.

🅰️If you commit to and pay for multiple sessions in one go, you are eligible for a more competitive price range:

Block of 4 sessions: 10% off
Block of 6 sessions: 15% off
Block of 8 sessions: 20% off

Hello and welcome!

Monument Tutoring is a brand new science and Psychology tutoring service.
My name is Abbi Stanton and I am excited to be offering both online and in person tutoring, serving Wellington, Somerset and the surrounding areas.
I have been teaching for 6 years and currently work as a Science and Psychology teacher, but having previously tutored for 2 years in the South East, working 1:1 and seeing that monumental progress that can be made with professional, targeted support is something I really enjoy and look forward to bringing to the local area.

I will also be sharing regular hints and tips for science and Psychology learning, and using what I know about the brain to provide insight into how to help your child across all of their subjects.
