Little Adventures Team! My nan was cared for in a St Margarets hospice and I can remember the care being so special.

Preschool had a wonderful Eurovision party this afternoon! The children have been practicing their performances and we enjoyed a fantastic mix of group songs, solo acts and dance performances.

Parents were invited in to watch the show and join us afterwards for a lovely buffet tea. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a special event! 🎤✨

Happy International Nurses Day 💙

Today the children have been dressing up as nurses, looking after each other, and learning all about the important role nurses play in supporting our local community.
They have also been busy making special thank-you cards to send to our local hospital.

A huge thank you to all the amazing nurses for your care, patience, and dedication every single day. The support you give to patients, families, and our community never goes unnoticed. You are truly appreciated ❤️

We will be celebrating Mental health week at nursery the week of the 11th May.

🌿 Pebble Painting Activity! 🎨

We’d love your help to create something special for our grass garden!

Please feel free to take a pebble from the basket in the office to take home. Children (and grown-ups!) can paint or decorate it however they like—get as creative as you wish!

Once your pebble masterpiece is finished, bring it back and place it in our garden to help us build a colourful and unique display together 🌈

The nursery team has been busy developing activity book ideas, including one focused on outdoor activities and another for indoor play. These ideas will be used throughout the children’s day at the nursery, and copies are also available in the office if you’d like some inspiration for activities at home.

The nursery garden has had a lovely makeover this weekend. The grass area is now open for the children to enjoy, alongside new spaces for building, reading, sand and water play, and a mud kitchen for everyone to explore.

We’ll also be starting to grow fruit and vegetables. The children will help care for them and will be able to enjoy what they grow as part of their snacks and lunch. This is a great way to help them learn where their food comes from.

Our preschool children have been having lots of fun exploring maths in the classroom over the past couple of weeks!

We’ve been adding simple, hands-on maths activities into our daily play to help build confidence and curiosity. One of our favourite activities has been measuring using everyday objects—like finding out how many bricks are the same length as a carrot!
The children carefully lined up the bricks and counted them together.

These fun experiences are helping the children develop early skills in counting, measuring, comparing, and problem-solving—all while learning through play.
It’s been wonderful to see their excitement and teamwork as they explore maths in a meaningful way!

Our Easter Bonnet Parade will be on Tuesday, 7th April, in the afternoon.
