This week we decorate our own wooden photo frames, as we celebrate world photography day this week. The children have also been using the digital camera to take some photos of the things they have seen whilst we have been out on trips and playing in the garden.

Today I said good bye to one of my long term mindees, as he leaves me to start his big boy adventures at school. I have looked after him since he was 1 years old, so we had a special levers party; playing pass the parcel, lots of dancing and some yummy cakes! Good luck at big school, you'll be missed at smiles childminding!

I am now closed for my summer break. I will be reopening for the autumn term on Thursday 3rd September. Any enquiries received whilst I am closed will be replied to when I am back open in September. Have a lovely sunny break little mindees and good luck to my school leavers who have left me today. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone back in September for a fun and busy autumn term.

This week we have been focusing on world elephant day. The children have enjoyed exploring the elephant sensory tray, as well as decorating their own elephant pictures using the pens, paints and stickers. We also did some baking this week, making some yummy elephant short breads.

In appreciation for our childminding cat Bobbie, we have celebrated international cat day this week. The children have been painting their own wooden cats, as well as decorating cat pictures with colouring pens and stickers. 🐈 😺

This week we have been learning about international moon day. The children have enjoyed painting their own wooden moons, as well as moon pictures. They have also been exploring the moon themed sensory tray, using the tweezers to practise their fine motor skills.

I am now CLOSED for a week, opening again on Monday 3rd August for some summer holiday fun!! Any enquiries will be replied to when I return to work :) have a lovely week off little mindees ❤️

Over the last couple of weeks, the children have enjoyed watching out tiny little caterpillars, grow very large, before going into their cacoons and evolving as beautiful butterflies 🦋 we fed them and watched them for a couple of days, before releasing them and watching them fly away in the garden.

This week we have learnt about world snake day. The children have enjoyed exploring the small world snake play, as well as painting their own wooden snakes and using the pens and stickers to decorate some snake pictures.

This week, as a little treat, we just had to celebrate world chocolate day on the 7th July. The children enjoyed making their own chocolate corn flake cakes, as well as decorating their own Chocolate bar pictures, using glue and chocolate wrappers. Don't they all look great.
