Over the last couple of weeks the children have enjoyed taking part in our teddy bears picnic, each child also bringing in a favourite teddy from home. They also made some great pictures. 🧸
We also made chocolate cake (using cocoa)....I must say they were very yummy!!😋
The children have also been practising their chopping skills, as they explored pineapple and watermelon.
Art work has been amazing to see, such creative children. They did pictures of them selves, love hearts, footballs and bees. 🎨🖌All their own choice...either independently or as a group🥰🥰

Well what can I say, the butterflies loved us so much they didn't want to fly away....

The children all enjoyed painting their own butterfly and caterpillar pictures using cotton buds and sponges.🦋🐛

Welcome back after half term.

So this week we are exploring numbers and rhymes, counting backwards and forwards to 5.(older children or those that can do this with ease will also explore higher numbers). We will also be noticing changes in a group (ie 5 in a group to start - take away 2 and noticing that there are now 3).🔢🐟🐸.
This will all be done through play and the children's current interest.🥰

We have all been working on our fine motor skills.
(Sorry forgot to take pic of all the activities).
This was our cutting activity which helped us to also work on our communication skills, talking about the pictures. One child also created an amazing picture, drawing their family members in each shape and one very young one very eager to have a go and made some wonderful snips in the paper. All children did amazing. 🤩💫😁
They have also really enjoyed collecting pom, poms in the water with the tweezers.
