Pancake Day! 🥞

The children had a fantastic time celebrating Pancake Day. They explored making their very own pancakes using playdough, rolling, flipping and adding their favourite pretend toppings through imaginative play.

Later in the day, our wonderful Chef Penny cooked real pancakes for the children and team to enjoy for tea. They were absolutely delicious and went down a treat.

A lovely mix of creativity and hands-on exploration.

We had such a wonderful time visiting Verwood House Care Home for a festive Christmas craft morning! 🎄

The children loved getting creative, chatting with residents and sharing some Christmas cheer. These moments really do mean so much, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to bring the generations together.

Our children have been getting creative this week as they explored different ways to make their very own firework pictures! 💥

From a bonfire-inspired tuff tray filled with paint and sticks to making sparkly breadstick fireworks, there’s been plenty of colour, creativity, and excitement in the air! ✨

Supporting Our Community at Happy Days Verwood! 🥰

We’re proud to launch our new food collection in support of the Trussell Trust Food Bank!

Our collection basket can be found in the reception area, along with a list of suggested items if you’d like to make a donation. Every contribution, big or small, helps to support families in our local community.

This is also a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about kindness, empathy, and caring for others, values we hold close here at Happy Days.

Spooky fun at Happy Days! 👻

Our children and staff had a fantastic time celebrating Halloween this week! Everyone came dressed in their best costumes and got stuck into lots of exciting activities, from dancing and exploring pumpkin-shaped ice, to making their own ghosts and scooping out pumpkins to create spooky decorations. 🕷️

🌟 We’re so proud of Bella! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Bella, our amazing Apprentice at Happy Days Verwood, who has been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year at the Nursery Management Today (NMT) Awards 2025!

At just 17 years old, Bella is completing her Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship with Realise and she’s already making a big impact!

From day one, Bella’s passion, creativity, and natural connection with children have shone through. She’s full of ideas, always eager to learn, and goes above and beyond to support her team and create exciting learning opportunities for the children.

Her colleagues describe her as “a superstar” and “an asset to the nursery” and we couldn’t agree more!

We’re absolutely delighted to see Bella’s dedication recognised on a national stage. Congratulations, Bella, we’re all so proud of you and can’t wait to see what the future holds! 💫
