đ¨ THE BOX IS OUTâŚ
Itâs not big box, little box, cardboard boxâŚ
Itâs long box, short box, stuck box đ
And, most importantly, IT IS NOT A DRINKS TABLE.
Despite the fact that for the last few months itâs done a very convincing impression of one. đĽ¤đđą
The Reformer box is officially coming into classes and it gives us SO many more options.
We can use it longways or shortways (hence long box and short box), on the carriage, against the shoulder rests, and in different positions depending on what weâre working.
ThinkâŚ
Seated arm work
Side-lying legs & glutes
Ab work and core challenges
Back extension
Swan variations
Pulling straps
Horseback
Side overs
Mermaid variations
Lunges and single-leg work
âŚAnd plenty more as we get used to itâŚ
Sometimes the box actually makes a move more accessible and comfortable. Sometimes it gives you more support.
And sometimes⌠it takes something you already know and quietly turns the dial up a notch.
But donât worry.
Weâll talk you through exactly where the box goes, which way round it goes and what youâre doing with it. And, as always, there are options. ALWAYS options.
You donât have to use it. You donât have to do the hardest version. You work at your level, on your bed, in your class.
So yes⌠the drinks table has officially been promoted.
Long box? Short box? Stuck box?
Youâll soon know the difference.
