Easter holidays ‘24- we’ve definitely had a mixed bag of weather this holiday ☔️☀️💨⛅️ - It hasn’t stopped us getting out and enjoying some walks, local parks and the serious business of Easter egg hunts however 🍫 🐣🐰!
We’ve also planted sunflower seeds, made up dance shows, played board games and toy soldiers and done plenty of painting, drawing and crafting.. with a definite animal theme, as always!🎨✍️

This week we’ve been up to some gingerbread making.. (because in our book it’s still officially Christmas 😊🎄).. some speedy photography was needed though before the roof of the gingerbread house collapsed and the only sane thing to do was to devour it 😋!

We’re only two weeks into the holidays and we’ve already been busy enjoying loads of summer activities! We’ve built a greenhouse in the garden 🪴 (which instantly became a mermaid palace, the plants had to wait their turn 🧜🏿‍♀️ .. 😂) , had fun in the forest and painted on plant pots using the leaves we’ve found 🍃 🎨, made beach party gingerbread men cupcakes 🧁, visited the Lion Salt works museum and were able to look and touch some real life fossils then made our own clay replicas and dinosaurs to take home 🦕 , celebrated a special 10th Birthday with cake and party games 🥳 🎂 , visited the local library 📚 and made glass bead suncatchers ☀️ ….all we need now is the return of the sunshine for the rest of the summer please! 🙏 😎

This week we’ve made delicious summery smelling perfumes with flowers and herbs from the garden 🌺🌹🌼Just the smell of the roses took me back to my childhood doing the same!! We’ve also refreshed our book collection with a trip to Tarvin library .. and a welcome chill out on the bean bags after school 📚

Happy Easter!! 🐣 🥚

Blessed with amazing weather, we have spent as much time as possible this week in the Spring sunshine ☀️
We’ve visited several local parks, done some Easter egg hunts 🍫 🪺 (and LOTS of hill rolling 🤣) , baked Easter goodies 🧁 made impromptu flower crowns 🌸 👑 , visited the local library 📚, spent some time with the friendly horses who live up the lane 🐴 , done loads of Easter crafts 🐣 🎨 , planted some cress and wildflower pots to brighten up the windowsill 🌱 (helped by an intrigued Muffin the cat!) choreographed a Birthday dance routine for one of our fellow mindees 🎤 💃 and generally enjoyed being free to go wherever the week has taken us … Who knows what next week will bring..? (lots more sunshine please 🙏 😎!)

This half term we’ve been pottering in beautiful Burwardsley, making (huge!) amounts of homemade sculpting clay, creating a countryside scene with the twigs and leaves collected from our walks, enjoying Shrove Tuesday pancakes and making homemade clay nests to brighten up our windowsills- it’s fantastic to feel that Spring is now just around the corner 🌷🌼😊

Bonfire Night came early at teatime today with these deliciously indulgent campfire cookies 🔥
