A very warm welcome to all of our new P1 pupils at Clare Primary School!
There was great excitement as pupils and staff welcomed our new P1 pupils. It was especially heartwarming to see so many proud older brothers and sisters sharing this special milestone with their younger siblings.
We are looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, friendship, and fun together. Welcome to the Clare Primary School family!

It has been wonderful to welcome our children back to school today!
Seeing so many happy, smiling faces and hearing the buzz of excitement filling our classrooms and corridors has been fantastic.
We can't wait to extend a very special welcome to our new P1 children on Thursday as they begin their school journey with us.

We are looking forward to seeing our P2-P7 children on Monday and are very excited to meet our P1 class on Thursday (Mrs Martin will meet children 1:1 from Mon-Wed).

We hope everyone has had an enjoyable summer break and we are very much looking forward to seeing you back in school next week. We also extend a warm welcome to our new Primary One children.
Just a few reminders to help everyone get organised, please read right to the end…

* School begins on Monday 24th August. Children arrive at school from 8:45-9am and school will end at 1pm each day this week.
* Parent Information Sessions will take place on Monday 24th August at the following times: P2/3 – 12:15-12:40,
P3/4 12:45 -1:05,
P4/5 1:05 -1:25,
P6-P7 1.25 -1:45.
*On Monday all children are to be collected from the Assembly Hall (red doors), this may be at 1pm or at the end of your Parent Information Session, if you are attending. Supervision will be available in the Assembly hall for children whose parents are attending the meetings. We encourage you to attend these important sessions.
*Tuesday 25th – Friday 28th August will be 1pm finishes with children collected from green gates.
*Please note ALL children will need their own healthy snack, packed lunch and drink each day next week. Remember we are a nut and pepper free school.
*Children should bring the items requested on their stationary list and supplies of tissues, soap etc on Monday 24th August.
*Please remember to label ALL items of school uniform!
*Don’t forget to stop and take a picture at our ‘Welcome Back’ sign on your way into school!
* School dinners and healthy break will be up and running from Tuesday 1st September 2026.
*Breakfast club returns on Tuesday 1st September from our new earlier time of 8am.

A huge thank you to Mr Baxter and Mrs Shields from our Board of Governors for treating our staff to a fantastic "Grill and Chill" BBQ lunch as we returned from the summer holidays.
It was a wonderful opportunity for staff to catch up, reconnect, and share stories from the summer break before the busy year ahead begins.
There is a real sense of excitement around the school as we prepare to welcome our pupils back next week. We can't wait to hear all about their summer adventures and are looking forward to another busy and happy year ahead at Clare Primary School!

🌞 Happy Summer from Clare Primary School! 🌞
As another school year comes to a close, we would like to wish all our pupils and families a wonderful summer break.
Thank you for a fantastic year in Clare Primary School. Your continued support and encouragement have helped our school community grow and flourish. This year has been busy, exciting and full of memorable moments — from welcoming Mrs Hylands to our Clare PS family, to our brilliant production of Matilda the Musical, our Music Festival success, sporting achievements, Road Safety Quiz success and the many personal accomplishments by our pupils.
Each of these “little steps” is paving the way for many great achievements ahead. Our many Bucket Fillers have made Clare Primary School such a happy and special place to learn and grow.
A huge thank you to our Friends of Clare for their dedication in supporting the school through fundraising and community events. We are also grateful to all the visitors who enriched our school life this year, including our local church representatives and our friends from the Ulster Scots Agency, HSENI, Meat and Livestock Commission and the Ulster Aviation Society.
None of this would be possible without our amazing pupils, dedicated staff and supportive school community — thank you all!
A heartfelt farewell to our wonderful P7 pupils — we are so proud of you and wish you every success in your next chapter. We also look forward to warmly welcoming our new P1 pupils as they begin their journey with us at Clare PS.
