Piano Class

Piano Class Piano Class provides private tuition for piano and music theory in a residential studio There is no obligation to take exams, although the option is provided.

The classes are run by Rachel who has been teaching since 2009 and has gained various teaching certificates from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and the British Kodály Academy. This means she can teach from ages 3 to adults, a variety of skills, exercises and repertoire to suit a range of tastes from early classical music to more contemporary pieces. Some tips for practicing!

I use traditional methods as I absolutely thrive on teaching people to read music.

It’s learning a new language that can open doors to other worlds and opportunities.

Communication and expression all comes from the basics and I don’t like to miss anything out.

To help with progress, students need to be practicing in order for us to move forwards. Otherwise we are repeating the same lessons on a loop.

If your child forgets to practice or is too busy with other commitments, it might be that piano is not for them and that’s absolutely fine.
