🔤📚 Learning Letters Through Play! 📚🔤
Our nursery children have been exploring early literacy by recognising letter sounds and matching them to familiar toys and objects. Through hands-on play, the children talked about the sounds they could hear at the beginning of words, identified letters, and made connections between sounds, letters and the world around them.
Using toys to support phonics makes learning meaningful, engaging and fun, helping children build the foundations for reading and writing while developing confidence in their communication skills.
