If any of our parents have children starting any of these Schools in September what a lovely way to get your children to meet their new classmates and you to have a chat with other parents who are probably as nervous as you are having children starting a brand new adventure 🤍

The most popular requests for school meets! These sessions are strictly only for children starting the stated school on the session. It gives the little ones a chance to meet each other and same for the parents.

No pressure just an area to play and say hello before their next big chapter together in September.

Sunflowers 🌻

Our Preschool Leavers have been busy discovering the fascinating life cycle of plants with Chloe. Through hands-on learning and meaningful conversations, the children explored how tiny seeds grow and change into beautiful flowers.

Inspired by our learning, the children used their fingers to paint and create their very own sunflower collages. This sensory experience encouraged curiosity, creativity, and lots of rich discussion as the children shared their ideas, observations, and knowledge about plants and nature.

This experience supported several areas of our curriculum:

🌱 Independent Explorers – The children embraced real-life learning experiences, explored different materials and textures through finger painting, and confidently investigated the world around them.

💬 Communicate Confidently – The activity sparked a wealth of language, with children expressing their thoughts, asking questions, sharing ideas, and engaging in conversations about growth, flowers, and the natural world.

🌟 Self-Regulators – The children demonstrated concentration, perseverance, and pride in their creations while developing confidence in their own abilities and expressing themselves through art.

We are so proud of the curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm shown by our Preschool Leavers as they continue to explore, learn, and grow together!
We have even planted our own seeds and are enjoying caring for them and watching them grow 🌱🌻

World Book Day 📚

We celebrated this by having a PJ day and asked the children to bring their favourite bedtime story to nursery with them.

The children then explored lots of different resources and created some amazing bookmarks.

Garden Fun 🌳🛝🪴

Light-up bonnets, flashing bunny ears, LED decorations and other Easter novelties can be great fun. But these – and many cheap toys – are powered by button batteries that can badly hurt or kill a small child if swallowed.

So, if you buy button battery powered items, check the battery compartment is secured with a screw or similar fastener to prevent children gaining access. If it isn’t secure please keep it out of reach of children.
