⭐️☪️⭐️ Ramadan & Eid ⭐️☪️⭐️

Whilst learning about the Muslim festival of Ramadan and Eid, the children enjoyed sharing stories, learning about how we celebrate dancing to traditional music. We investigated the symbolism of the moon and star and created our own art work whilst the younger children explored shapes.

🍀⛪️🇮🇪 St Patrick's Day 🇮🇪⛪️🍀

We visited our local Catholic Church on St Patrick's Day and learnt about how he helped the Christian faith. Many of our children have Irish families, or are Catholic; Miss M also taught all of her friends the sign of the cross which she does at Pre School. We got to explore the church, lit a candle for Hendrix and enjoy playing at the churches park. We had snack in the coffee shop and stocked up our dressing up box in the charity shop.

🌸🌽🪻🍓🌼 Spring... we're ready for you!! 🌼🍓🪻🌽🌸

We've been busy planting flowers, fruits and veggies this week. The children decided what they needed to plant over a 'coffee', went to the shops to choose their flowers and seeds and have enjoyed exploring the soil, water and sun to help them grow. The dogs enjoyed helping out too!

🚦🚸👮‍♀️ Fab morning talking road safety with PCSO's Molly and Simeon from . We had a story and a sing-along, followed by practising our skills with a walk around the surrounding area 👮‍♀️🚸🚦

🥞🍳🍋 Lots of excitement for Shrove Tuesday and a pancake dinner 🍋🍳🥞

We had the opportunity to talk about recipes, ingredients, measurements, healthy choices and where our food comes from (the milk doesn't just come from "the fridge!") as well as the start of Easter celebrations. The lemons were a particular talking point as one little one said they tasted "spicy" and we learnt about sweet and sour.
