Birchwood Pre-school & After School Club

Birchwood Pre-school & After School Club Over the years, we have grown in numbers and we are now able to accommodate 78 children per pre-school session.

Birchwood Pre-school and After school club opened it's doors in September 1996 and operates from one building situated within the grounds of the Birchwood Primary School site. Families are able to chose from either full day care or sessional care, being able to mix and match sessions to meet their needs.

The Pre-school consists of two learning environments that promote a child centred approach;

'Buds Room' can accommodate up to 30 children aged 2-3 per session. This space is organised to ensure a more homely feel, supporting familiarity and a sense of belonging as they begin their pre-school adventure.

'Blossoms Room' can accommodate up to 48 children aged 3-4 years old per session. This space is organised to ensure that the children are able to be more independent whilst maintaining a nurturing environment, ensuring that we are supporting them in preparation for school life.
