First year at Uni is almost done... Just waiting for my final result that comes in July 👀 I'm still completing my Civil law unit through the summer so no rest for me 😂

Things have been incredibly difficult. Having a 8000 word essay due for Civil the same week my end of year assignment for Criminal law being due at the same time wasn't great 🫣 Thought my brain was going to combust 💥🫯

But I did it! I may not be happy with my essay result I only got a 62% my lowest yet 😭 but it's still a pass!

Trying to keep my eye on the prize 👀 I have to succeed as this, I constantly have messages from stylists who need support, who need someone to just talk to, who are being sued, are feeling unsafe with their current set up's, employers scared incase they have created disguised employment...

Educators or those aspiring to work with brands being ripped off and working for free 😭

The urge to be able to protect our industry at the highest level is so strong & I won't stop until I get there.

All I want to do is give people a voice when they can't use their own voice. Stylists so scared to speak up & scared to protect themselves.

My purpose is that.

Since rebuilding my business from scratch I’ve spent weeks putting proper systems back into place behind the scenes ✨

One thing I’ve just finished is getting all of my client forms & policies fully digital 🙌🏼

✔️ Consultation forms✔️ Colour consent forms✔️ Patch testing✔️ Terms & policies✔️ Medical information✔️ Photo consent✔️ Online signatures

Clients can receive them directly by email, fill everything out online and sign digitally before their appointment 👏🏼

The best bit? The app I’m using for the forms is actually FREE.

If you use Timely you can also connect it so forms automatically send depending on the appointment booked which honestly makes life SO much easier.

I know a lot of stylists feel overwhelmed with this side of business or don’t even know where to start… so I’m thinking of doing a completely FREE session showing people:

I am returning back behind the chair... However,

I have taken a very hard look into my business that I closed before returning and what it was that made me leave in the first place.

I was burned out, uninspired, fed up, not charging correctly. I know you know...

So I have completely revamped everything!

Starting from scratch again, the gorgeous Vivienne Johns, The Hairdresser's Social Club started again from scratch and here I am too... inspired by Viv!

Reinventing what made me quit

Evolving

Changed my whole mindset and values around my business

When you are watching the industry from the outside-in you can see the issues. I could then see them as clear as day in my business and myself...

The quiet time out to reflect is the most important I realise that now

Life lately 🫧✨

1. I'm currently studying for my end of module exams & I've LOVED criminal law so much!

2. This week I'm starting LACE UP run club for teenagers & parents in Tamworth with the aim to get more off the streets and bonding over fitness with their parents

3. has expanded!! I now feed 90 kids hot food (Completely free) every week!

4. Started my new role at work - Working for Citizens Advice in partnership with the NHS and mental health services. I've reduced my days to balance out clients and studies

5. My lash lift & brows have completely changed my face!! Thanks to 😍

6. Our new Pup 😍🥹 Beau - She's 4 weeks old & can't wait for her to grow up around Lola & Sonny!

7. Joined & Absolutley love it!! The plan my PT has put in place has me feeling humbled every day 😂

8. Accidentally on purpose put myself in the ballot for the London Marathon 2027 😂🙈

9. Used AI to create an image of me as a Barrister to stick on my vision board so when I'm feeling deflated and unmotivated I can look at my Loubs on my feet, and remember WHY I am doing this 💪🏼👏🏻

2026 has been one of the most beautiful years! I finally feel like I understand who I am & beginning to love that person ♥️
