Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to update you on the current period of hot weather and to reassure you that we are continuing to monitor conditions closely throughout the school day.
The wellbeing of our children is always our top priority, and we are taking a number of steps to ensure that they remain as safe and comfortable as possible while temperatures remain high. These measures include:
Providing regular opportunities for children to drink water and stay hydrated
Encouraging the use of hats and sunscreen where appropriate
Making use of shaded areas during break and lunchtime
Adapting outdoor activities, including changing the times of more physically demanding lessons
Ensuring classrooms are well-ventilated and adjusting routines where needed
We kindly ask for your support in helping your child prepare for the heat by ensuring they bring a refillable water bottle to school each day, wear appropriate lightweight clothing, and apply sunscreen before arriving at school.
We will continue to review our arrangements daily and will make further adjustments if necessary in response to changing temperatures.
