What a proud moment 💚

Last night we had the absolute pleasure of watching our former student Beth shine in Hadestown: Teen Edition at the Lichfield Garrick — and what a joy it was to see her up there doing what she loves.

It’s hard to believe Beth only left Steps a year ago to continue her performing arts training at Addict. She had been part of Steps since she was little, working her way right through to Seniors. Over those years, she threw herself into every class, every performance and every opportunity that came her way. She never complained, always worked incredibly hard and brought that special Beth sparkle to everything she did — whether she had the biggest part or the smallest.

Even after leaving us, she still made the time to come back, help out and perform in our annual show despite an already very busy schedule. That says so much about the person she is.

So to sit in the audience last night and watch her take on a huge role like Persephone - one of the many versatile roles she has taken on over the years - was incredibly special. Her energy, confidence and stage presence were just wonderful to watch, and seeing the lovely review describing how she made the stage “come alive” whenever the focus was on her made us even prouder.

But our pride goes far beyond what Beth can do on a stage. She is an insanely talented performer, yes, but she is also one of those young people who truly deserves every exciting moment coming her way because of the person she is off stage too.

Keep shining, Beth. Watching you grow from that little girl in our classes into the performer you are today has been such a privilege. We cannot wait to see where this journey takes you next. 💐🖤
