Today we welcomed Ysgol Hiraddug to DangerPoint®. It was wonderful to see so much fun, engaging learning going on throughout the centre- topped off with a brilliant post tour quiz result! Da iawn pawb!

Beth's group enjoyed donning their PPE at our Building Site and exploring:

👻 It won't be long until Halloween and it can be an exciting time of year for children, dressing up and going out after dark!🦇 But, whilst Halloween is supposed to be spooky there are some horrors that families will want to avoid.

REMEMBER: Many fancy dress costumes are not manufactured to the same safety standards as normal clothing 👕👗, meaning they can ignite almost instantly and burn far faster.

So, here are some top tips from the Child Accident Prevention Trust for a safe Halloween that you can remember for all the right reasons.

Before using a hot water bottle, take a moment to check it.

🗓 Replace your hot water bottle at least every two years
🚫 Never fill it with boiling water

We've had a wonderful Wednesday celebrating our 21st birthday with Key Stage 1 pupils from Borras Park Primary School! Just listen to their wonderful singing! 🎶🥳🎈

We hope you all had as much fun as we did whilst learning lots of important safety and life skills!

The first 20 minutes after a burn or scald are important. Knowing the right first aid can help limit the severity of the injury.

Remember: Cool, Call, Cover
💧 COOL the burn under cool running water for 20 minutes
📞 CALL 999 for serious burns or seek medical advice
🩹 COVER the burn loosely with cling film
