A little letter can make a big difference…

Our Beavers and Badgers have been busy writing and carefully preparing their very own letters- signing their names, folding, sealing and stamping them, ready for their special recipients.

Then our Wildcats helped take the letters on their journey! On the way back to After School Club, they stopped at Innis Mhor to hand-deliver letters to the residents, before visiting our lovely friend Christine to deliver a special letter to her too. 🥰

Christine was so thankful for the visit❤️

What began with a simple letter writing focus became a lovely opportunity to connect generations, build friendships and spread a little kindness throughout our community. 💌✨

👑 We got a letter from Buckingham Palace!!👑

Earlier this year, ahead of The King’s Official Birthday, our children put pen to paper and wrote a very special letter to His Majesty… and we were absolutely delighted to receive a letter back! 💌

The King extended his thanks for the “splendid” letter we sent- how exciting is that?! 👑

So, with today being World Write a Letter Day, we thought it was only right to share this very special piece of news!

Did you know, we're not just a nursery, we care for school aged children too! Spread the word!

Call us old school… but we don’t use a digital platform for our Learning Journeys and here’s why!

The other morning, our children reminded us exactly why we’ve made this choice.

They independently chose to take out their Learning Journey folders and spend time looking through their photos, observations and achievements together.

“Look, that’s me and my friends!”
“I was in the baby nursery!” 🥰

They were remembering, reflecting, celebrating and proudly sharing how they’ve grown since their days in the baby room.

For us, their Learning Journey isn’t something that belongs on a screen or only exists for adults to view. It belongs to the children.

They can pick it up, explore it and share it whenever they choose- giving them a real sense of ownership over their learning and achievements.

Call us old school… but we think that’s pretty special. 💛

💚 SELF-CARE FOR OUR TEAM! 💚

We celebrated International Self-Care Day! 🥰 Our amazing Jessica put together a personal self-care pack for every member of our team and surprised us with them on Friday 24th July- just in time for everyone to start winding down ahead of our summer closure! 🎁✨

We love finding different ways to look after our team throughout the year- from thoughtful surprises to the time we even had a surprise ice cream van at a staff meeting! 🍦😂

🌿 OUR WILDCATS COLLECTED 10.1KG OF RUBBISH! 😲🌿

Our Wildcats Holiday Club children recently headed out to Tain Links Play Park for a litter pick, with the help of a fantastic marine conservationist, who helped the children learn more about the impact litter can have on our environment and wildlife. 🌊🐚🦀

And WOW… what a difference they made! 🤩

They found everything from plastic bottles and cans to food packaging, wipes, bottle tops and even a balloon. It was a real eye-opener for the children to see just how much rubbish can be left behind in a space that is enjoyed by so many families.

By taking part, our Wildcats have helped to:
🌱 Keep our local community cleaner
🛝 Make the play park a safer, cleaner place for young children
🐾 Protect local wildlife and our natural environment
💚 Learn that even small actions can make a BIG difference!

We are so incredibly proud of our Wildcats for rolling up their sleeves, getting stuck in and helping to look after their community. 🌍👏

A huge thank you to our marine conservationist for joining us, sharing their knowledge and helping our children understand why looking after our environment matters. 💚

📚🎵 Bookbug came to visit! 🥁🐻

We had a lovely visit from Sheila from Bookbug this morning! The children enjoyed listening to stories, exploring different musical instruments and joining in with lots of songs and nursery rhymes. 📖🎶

A fun-filled session supporting the children’s communication, confidence and social skills, all while having lots of fun together! 🥰
