Established in 1908, Chinthurst is a co-educational independent day school and nursery for children aged 2 1/2 to 11 years old. It is located between the beautiful villages of Tadworth and Walton-on-the-Hill with easy access to Epsom, Banstead, Kingswood and Reigate. Named 2022 Independent School of the Year for Sporting Achievement in recognition of their ground-breaking approach to gender and sp

ort. The school was also a 2022 and 2020 finalist for Wellbeing School of the Year. Chinthurst is a junior school of Reigate Grammar School and typically 60 to 80 percent of children transfer there. There are also strong relationships with other top independent schools and many children have transferred to Epsom College, St John's and Caterham over the years..

Chinthurst celebrated its first Community Day this year, with every year group taking part in activities to give back to the people and places that make our local community so special.

The children spread kindness in so many thoughtful ways - creating posters for our neighbours, hiding kindness stones in the local woods, litter picking, baking biscuits and writing letters, singing at local care home, sharing uplifting messages and even creating a woodland scavenger hunt for families to enjoy together.

A wonderful day that reflected the caring values at the heart of Chinthurst. 💚

Let’s take you back to the penultimate day of term, which can only mean one thing... Quest Day! 💚

This year's Traditional Tales theme saw the whole school working together through a series of exciting fairy tale-inspired challenges, earning points for teamwork, creativity, communication and House spirit along the way.

Congratulations to Dragon, our Quest Day 2026 champions! And a big well done to every child for showing such enthusiasm, kindness and teamwork throughout the day. What a fantastic way to end the school year!
