We did it again! We are delighted thath our Eco Warriors have achieved the Eco Schools Green Flag with Distinction award, for the third year in a row. This recognises their wonderful work in environmental education, and we are very proud of them.

Saxton Sports Day 2026 photos. What a fantastic show of community spirit from everyone. All of the children participated with such enthusiasm. Very well done on another super display of good people,doing well.

The children had a fantastic day during our whole school immersive writing day last week - including fun chalking on the playground and the drawing and collage workshops held by the amazing children's author and illustrator Bethan Woollvin. The children were very creative.

This week we are learning about pride month, celebrating our differences and recognising that we are all unique and all loved. We have worked on a whole school art project where children have celebrated what makes them feel proud. What a special way to welcome everyone into our school 🌈 Individual colours, together a rainbow!

The children had so much fun taking part in the Drama workshop held by Perfect Pitch Stars. The theme was around Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the children recreated various scenes including the boat ride along the chocolate river and the TV room.

Maple Class have enjoyed learning about the water cycle. We have had fun creating our mini water cycle experiments ready for us to observe over the next week.

Children in Reception enjoyed using magnifying glasses to spot the shrunken fairytale characters on our immersive writing day. They used their phonics and writing skills to write down who they could see. 👸🫘👑🧙‍♀️

The Eco Warriors held a cake sale today to raise awareness of the importance of solar panels for sustainable energy. They will put all money raised towards a solar project for our school. Thank you to everyone who supported us!
