We really can’t believe how quickly these little quackers are growing. They are almost ready to live outside permanently, thank you to everyone who has contributed to our fundraising so far this week we really appreciate everyone’s efforts.
We are now on the look out for a sturdy pool for them as they are getting too big for the tub we have, if any of you have an unwanted hard childrens pool you might like to donate, we can see if we can incorporate it into their pen.

How the ducklings have grown over the weekend😳😮
Colin, Honey, BIngo, Daisy and Lewis are all thriving and will be enjoying their first swim this afternoon, so more fun photos to follow.
However the equipment is due to be collected on Friday this week so we looking to borrow a large brooding cage or large pet carrier (one with a deep base) for a few weeks until they can be kept outside. If anyone can help us please contact Dorn or Gail at nursery.

Nursery will be closed next Monday for the bank holiday but will reopen on Tuesday as normal.
It will be a non funded week also for term time only children.

Hi everyone
We now have 3 ducklings hatched and another almost there.
We thought it would be a great idea to raise some funds to help purchase a bigger duck house for the garden so we can keep our new feathered friends on site.
We hope everyone can join in our fancy, funny, feathered fundraiser week commencing 5th June, after all it is National Donald Duck Day on the 9th.
Children can dress up all week for a £2 donation, this would buy a great duck den and lots of accessories.

Hi everyone
Our next theme across nursery is ‘On the Farm’
We have sourced some eggs to hatch and learn about the life cycle of a duck. Please see the attached flyer.
We want everybody to be involved in this and are holding a naming event for the ducks, so if you and your child want to suggest a name, please forward them to me via email.
Also, we are thinking of keeping one or 2 of the ducklings rather than sending them back with the provider, if you can help out with this please let me know. This could be providing food or bedding, an old paddle pool, or even a duck house if you know anyone who is able to donate one.

Hi Everyone
Just letting everyone know that next week will be Natalie Carter’s last week with Fenwood Swinton before she moves on to a new post in a school in Rotherham.
We are sure you all join us is wishing her the best of luck in her new adventure.
Natalie has been an integral part of our Toddler and Pre-School team at Swinton for over 5 years, starting as a volunteer and gaining qualification up to level 5 status, including the role of SENCO.

What a wonderfully busy week we are having at nursery.
The children in pre school have designed and made Jack the Robot, he is helping the boys and girls to talk about and understand their feelings.
The staff and children have also donated a pamper hamper to the residents of The Beeches care home in Wath ‘caring for our elderly community’ and donated a food hamper to Rawmarsh food bank through one of our supporters Rachel Peace
