A truly special day—a day to honor and celebrate the remarkable achievements of our sensei, Mike Fraser. It is with immense pride and deep respect that we gather here to recognize his dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to the art of karate.

Sensei Fraser, you have dedicated your life to the practice and teaching of karate. Through decades of training, you have not only mastered the techniques but also embodied the spirit of martial arts—discipline, humility, and respect. Your journey to Hachidan, the 8th Dan, is a testament to your extraordinary skill, leadership, and passion for this art.

To achieve Hachidan is no small feat. It requires not just physical mastery but also a profound understanding of the philosophy of karate—its history, its values, and its ability to transform lives. You have inspired countless students, to strive for excellence, both on and off the dojo floor. Your teachings have shaped us not only as martial artists but as individuals, instilling in us the values of perseverance, respect, and integrity.

As we present you with this well-deserved rank, we honor not just your technical expertise but also your role as a mentor, a guide, and a source of inspiration. You have given so much to this dojo and to the karate community, and we are deeply grateful for your tireless efforts.

Sensei Fraser, on behalf of all your students, past and present, we thank you for your dedication, your wisdom, and your unwavering belief in us. This Hachidan is a symbol of your incredible journey, and we are honored to witness this milestone in your life.

Congratulations, sensei. You have earned this rank through years of hard work, and we are proud to call you our teacher. May you continue to inspire and lead us for many years to come.

Thank you.

Learning from sparring is vital and should be done in a controlled manner to work on techniques, gain confidence and learn from mistakes that you and your sparring partner make.
