Life really has been ‘life-ing’ lately, so I haven’t uploaded in a little while.
My current students are continuing to smash their learning though and I continue to be ever grateful for working with the most wonderful families 🫶🏻❤️📚
Correcting punctuation in sentences. 📚
We used a writing slope here for comfort and an erasable pen so the student felt happy with their work remaining neat. I like to use coloured paper to avoid the glare that white paper can bring. 🥰
Classic Mathopoly game 😆
These games always go down well and require accessing multiple mathematical skills!
Times tables practise. 🔢
If there’s one mathematical gift you can give to your children, it’s times tables skills. This student was testing out her pencil grips to see if they would help her feel a little more comfortable when writing.
Using adverbials to extend sentences and make them more interesting to read. 📚
Converting mixed numbers to improper fractions. 🤩
Spelling practise. Check out these tricky words 🥴 These are ‘typical’ spelling words given to Year 6 children. They even got me thinking!
Place value practise. 🔠📚
Let’s order decimal numbers. 🤩📚
