We are SO excited to be expanding into our 3rd Stride 360 location! 🤩

We’re even more excited to be lucky enough to have access to this amazing sensory pod for our students (and staff!!) to relax and regulate in. 🧘

Our newest location, based in Stratton, Swindon, offers a calm, welcoming environment with a big range of sensory resources and the perfect space for tuition and mentoring. 🖋️ 📖

Whether it’s been a heavy English session learning Macbeth quotes for our GCSE students or our younger children need a moment to breathe, we can’t wait to use these amazing resources in sessions! ❤️

Wow! What an end to the best, most memorable first full year for Stride 360 Alternative Provision!

Students and mentors played on the beach, enjoyed a BBQ, swam in the lake and, for those that were feeling particularly daring, went on Aquaventure! 🏊‍♀️ 🏖️ 🌭

“It was day 5,327 of the British heatwave of 2026 (or so it felt!). Weary and exhausted explorers roamed the brown, crispy grasslands of Supermarine Rugby Club.

‘What’s that?!’ The cowboy of the crew cried, alerting his friends to his latest discovery…” 🏜️ 🦗

The heatwave has given our Thrive class the perfect opportunity to get outdoors and explore the natural world around us. Meanwhile, our Evolve class have been putting their creative writing skills to work, using inference, crafting descriptive settings and captivating openings in English. 📖

Despite the soaring temperatures trying their best to knock our socks off, our students have been absolute superstars. We couldn’t be prouder of every single one of you! ☀️😊

Finally, the Thrive team created balloon-propelled rockets and launched them around The Swindome! 🚀🎈

Lots of resilience was needed when balloons popped, but everyone learned from each attempt, adapted their designs, and discovered just the right amount of air needed to send their rockets soaring.

Next up, the Thrive team took on the challenge of designing and building a boat capable of floating their chess piece passengers! ⛵♟️

There was plenty of trial and error along the way, as students tested different designs, adapted their ideas and worked together to improve their boats. They also shared resources, supported one another and used excellent teamwork throughout the challenge.

Fantastic creativity, resilience and collaboration from everyone involved – great job, Thrive! 👏🌟

Last week, the Thrive primary-aged class had their very own Science Week! 🧪🚀

Throughout the week, their education sessions focused on experimenting, creating and testing a range of exciting transport designs.

One of their challenges was to design and build hot air balloons, working together to test their ideas and see what worked best.

🏝️ X marks the spot! 🏝️

Today, we created our own treasure maps to encourage using a wide range of vocabulary, creativity and imagination.

This was such a fun way of incorporating sensory experiences into learning, especially squishing the teabags to stain our maps!

The treasure was definitely the ice lollies we had to cool ourselves down once we’d completed our work 😋

A huge well done to the students for staying cool, calm and collected on such a warm day, we’re so proud! 🔥
