Our KS2 girls enjoyed their first ever friendly match against St Mary’s this week! ⚽ Children from Years 3 to 6 took part, giving their all on the pitch while having lots of fun along the way. The girls showed fantastic enthusiasm and teamwork throughout, and this experience will stand them in great stead as we prepare to enter the girls' league. Big thanks to Joah and Noah for organising the match.

⚽ What a fantastic day celebrating our football team's league-winning season! 🏆 This morning, players were presented with their trophies and certificates. This afternoon, the team enjoyed a well-deserved trip to footgolf as a reward for all their hard work, dedication and success.

We are so proud of this amazing group of children. Not only are they talented footballers individually, but they have consistently demonstrated outstanding teamwork, encouraged and supported one another, and shown true ‘Moredon spirit’ every step of the way.

A huge thank you to Mr Sedgwick for organising fixtures throughout the year and for driving the minibus to our away matches.

And a massive thank you to our coach, Kieran. He is a true role model who constantly encourages, supports and inspires our children. His commitment, enthusiasm and belief in the team have played a huge part in their success, and we are incredibly lucky to have him as part of our school community.

Year 6 have had a fantastic time on their residential trip to Pencelli! 🌟 Over the course of the week, the children took part in a range of exciting activities including gorge walking, rock climbing, canoeing and caving. They challenged their fears, stepped out of their comfort zones and showed incredible resilience and determination throughout. It was wonderful to see them working together, supporting one another and building confidence as they tackled new experiences. Most importantly, they had lots of fun and created memories that will last a lifetime! We are so proud of everything they achieved during this amazing adventure. Well done, Year 6! 👏

Yesterday, our Year 6 pupils attended Junior Good Citizen, where they took part in a range of engaging and informative workshops designed to help prepare them for life beyond primary school.

The children learned valuable information about a variety of important topics, including hate crime, knife crime, social pressures and gangs, drugs and smoking/vaping, AI and social media, healthy relationships, and mental health and wellbeing. These sessions provided essential knowledge and practical advice as they begin to take their next steps into the wider world.

We are incredibly proud of our pupils, who were a wonderful representation of Moredon Primary throughout the day. They participated in every workshop with respect, enthusiasm and maturity, asking thoughtful questions and engaging positively with all activities. Well done, Year 6 - you were fantastic ambassadors for our school! ❤️

Year 5 pupils, Arijus and Meewan, took part in The White Horse Federation debating event this morning at Swindon Civic Offices. They worked so well with children from other schools as they debated topics such as whether children should have homework or not. Well done to both boys! ⭐️

Skateboards and scooters! 🛹🛴 Children in Reception to Year 6 had great fun this week learning a new skill! Huge thanks to Alex for our fantastic workshops.

Proud of our wonderful Moredon team for their solid performance and 100% effort in today’s Swindon PSFA Championship Final Tournament! ⚽👏 The children showed superb attitudes, outstanding teamwork, and represented our school brilliantly throughout the competition. Big thanks to Kieran for his fantastic coaching - both today and this whole season. Although we didn’t bring home the trophy this time, we are still proud Central Swindon League Winners! 🏆 Congratulations to The Croft on winning the Centenary Cup and well done to everyone involved!
