Milne Drum Tuition is an oversubscribed drum school in the centre of Swindon, with students of all ages and abilities. We provide a positive and enthusiastic learning environment, for students to learn and grow.
We are seeking a part-time and a full-time drum tutor that is not only passionate about their instrument, but about teaching too.
Essential:
-Able to play to a grade 7/8 standard or working towards
-Reliable
-Independent
-Understands different learning styles
-Can sight read drum notation
-Knowledge of music theory
-Well organised
-Teach aural skills
-Teach practical techniques
-Administration skills
-Timetabling
-DBS (Update service)
-Keep up to date knowledge and awareness of examination requirements
-Enter and prepare students for examinations and gradings
-Track progress
-Someone who shares the same ethos and values of the business
-Experience in maintaining a brand, social media management and cross channel engagement.
-Communication skills: this candidate will need to be pro-active and efficient with bookings for the studio.
-Available to teach Saturdays and weekday evenings.

-Experience running a small business
-Lesson planning
-Develop own curriculum and acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources.
This will be a self employed role with a contractual membership agreement in place. There will also be cover opportunities.
Hours will be discussed upon application. There are opportunities to work in the day time but most tuition is provided from 3pm-8:30pm Monday-Friday and anytime on Saturdays.
