Early years Practitioner

Ashton Keynes Preschool, Wiltshire, SN6 6NT.
Minimum of 12 hours per week - Term Time only
We are seeking to employ level 3 qualified and experienced early years practitioner to work within our preschool setting based in Ashton Keynes. Ashton Keynes Preschool is a thriving pack-away for children aged 2-4 years. We strive to provide a diverse range of learning opportunities to allow the children in our setting to thrive and become independent learners. Staff within the setting bring a wealth of experience and training. As a Preschool we are committed to continued professional development and the opportunity to build our staff team to enable them to make a real difference to children’s lives.
Applicants must:
 Either have completed, or be on the pathway towards, the completion of Level 3 in child care,
 Have experience of working in an early years setting.
 Have a sound knowledge of child-development and the EYFS.
 Have the desire and ability to develop excellent partnerships with parents about their children’s learning.
An applicant with some experience/understanding of SEN would be beneficial.
Closing date for applications 31st May. For a start date in September.

Week Commencing 20/04/2026

Last week we had a super busy week at preschool! ✨

We have used the tools on the woodwork bench to create some beautiful masterpieces including cars, robots, planes and fairies!🚗✈️🧚🏼‍♀️🤖

The children have enjoyed getting messy doing some finger painting. 🎨

We have played our letters and sounds game cross the river where our younger children had to find objects by listening to a description of an object or what it might do ‘can you find an object that is pink’ or ‘can you find an object that shines in the sky’ And older children had to listen for the word to be segmented for example ‘c-a-t’ or ‘f-i-sh’ which they had to blend together to hear the word and find the object. 🐈☀️🐠

The children have been developing their fine motor skills by using the letters for threading and developing their gross motor skills by building obstacles and racing round them!🤩

A big thank you to Katie who kindly brought in Ted and Tess the ponies for the children to see. They enjoyed stroking them and brushing them showing us how they use their kind and gentle hands towards animals. 🐎🐾

Hi everyone coming up is our Tough Toddlers event in June tough toddlers is a great event for all the children to get involved it’s great fun !! Your child will be coming home with their own sponsorship form it would be great to see you all their on the day to support our preschool
