💚 Macmillan Coffee Morning – Friday 25th September 💚

We’re doing things a little differently at Ridgeway Farm this year!

🥓 From 8:30am – Breakfast Takeaway
Grab a bacon roll or pastry before school and take it with you.

☕ 8:45–10:00am – Stay & Chat
Once you’ve dropped the children off, come in and join us! Sit down, have a coffee, enjoy a bacon roll or pastry and have a chat. Everyone is very welcome. 💚

🧁 CAKE DONATIONS PLEASE!
We would also love donations of cakes to sell after school to raise even more for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Today, our EYFS children enjoyed a wonderful reading session with their Year 6 buddies. 📚✨

Sharing stories together is a fantastic way to develop a love of reading, build confidence, and create special friendships across the school. Our youngest learners loved listening to their older buddies, while the Year 6 children showed great care, patience, and enthusiasm as reading role models.

It was lovely to see so many smiles and engaged readers. We are so proud of all our children for making this such a positive and enjoyable experience! ❤️

We have now moved to an Active School Uniform, designed to help every child feel comfortable, stay active and be ready to learn throughout the school day.

Orange Tree Class started R.E. this term by looking at The Creation Story and then exploring the school grounds, looking at every small detail of the wonderful creations Christians believe God created. They photographed the things that they admired and then drew them.

Important notice for parents and carers:
Since returning to school, we have experienced significant technical issues with our Management Information System (MIS). This is the system we use to manage pupil information, payments and communications with families.

As a result, some incorrect payment charges or notifications may have been sent, and we are currently unable to send our usual emails, texts or app messages. Please disregard any unexpected charges while the issue is being resolved.

We are awaiting urgent IT support and hope to have the system working correctly as soon as possible. If we need to communicate anything urgently, we will contact families by telephone and post an update on our official page.

We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. Please bear with us while we work to resolve this.

What an amazing start we have had in Apple Tree!

All of the children came in with such beautiful smiles, and there was not a tear in sight. It was lovely to see how confidently they settled in and began their first day.

Miss Smith would like to say a huge well done to all of our parents and carers too, who were so brave as they said goodbye to their little ones on this very special first day at school. We know it is a big moment for families as well, and your support has helped to make such a positive start.

We are so excited for the wonderful learning, fun and adventures ahead in Apple Tree!

Apologies to our neighbours

We are aware that the school alarm has unfortunately been sounding and would like to apologise to our neighbours for the disturbance this has caused.

Despite most of our staff being away during the summer break, we are doing everything we can to resolve the issue. We are very grateful to members of staff who live nearby and have been stepping in to attend the school and silence the alarm when needed.

The alarm company has been contacted and we are working to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience and disturbance, and thank our neighbours for their patience and understanding.

Our staff would like to thank you for your incredible generosity and the thoughtful gifts they have received. They are greatly appreciated, although never expected.

To our wonderful Year 6 pupils: continue to Believe, Learn and Grow. We wish you every success and happiness as you move on to secondary school—you will be greatly missed!

We look forward to welcoming everyone else back on Wednesday 2 September. Have a fantastic and well-earned summer break!

🎉 Gem Point Treat Reminder – Ridgefest! 🎉

A quick reminder that our Gem Point Treat – Ridgefest is taking place tomorrow afternoon! 🌈🎶

Children are invited to come to school in their normal school uniform and bring their festival clothes in a named bag to get changed into at lunchtime.

We can't wait for an afternoon full of fun, music and celebrations to reward the children for all of their hard work and fantastic behaviour this year!
