Teamwork really does make the dream work!
When one of our tutors needed a sand and water tray for their sessions, a fantastic tutor-learner duo at our Stanton Park outdoor learning site rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in.
Check out the incredible DIY tray they built together! From raw materials to a fully lined, double-compartment setup, this is a perfect example of collaboration, practical skills, and resourcefulness in action.
We can't wait to see this getting plenty of use across our centres!

Learning Disability Week 2026
At Swindon Tuition Centre, we are proud to support Learning Disability Week and celebrate the strengths, talents and achievements of children and young people with learning disabilities.
As an Alternative Provision, we understand that every learner is unique. Many of the students we work with thrive when education is delivered in a way that recognises their individual needs, interests and learning styles.
Our dedicated team provides:
• Personalised learning programmes
• Small group and one to one support
• A nurturing and inclusive environment
• Opportunities to build confidence, independence and resilience
• Flexible pathways that help young people achieve their potential
We believe that learning disabilities should never be a barrier to success. By focusing on strengths, providing the right support and creating positive learning experiences, we help students develop the skills and confidence they need for the future.
This Learning Disability Week, we reaffirm our commitment to creating an environment where every young person feels valued, understood and empowered to succeed.

There's nothing quite like the smell of breakfast cooking over an open fire, and our outdoor learning students absolutely nailed it!
From managing the flames to mastering the perfect sizzle, they worked together to whip up an incredible meal.
These outdoor sessions give our students a unique space to grow. Beyond the culinary success, they are learning how to manage risks safely, problem solve under changing conditions, and take real ownership of their environment.
Watching them collaborate and gain confidence around the fire shows just how impactful alternative, hands on learning can be!

While bird watching with their tutor, this learner showed an impressive knowledge of British birds.
Armed with a bird identification book, they quickly recognised many species and shared that their current favourite is the beautiful blue tit.
Inspired by the experience, the learner created this fantastic drawing of a blue tit, capturing its bright colours and character brilliantly.
A wonderful combination of outdoor learning, observation skills, and creativity!

Numbers are part of everyday life, from budgeting and cooking to building confidence in education and beyond.
This National Numeracy Day, we’re celebrating the power of numbers to open doors and create opportunities.
At Swindon Tuition Centre, we know that numeracy isn’t just about passing exams, it’s about building real life skills, boosting confidence, and helping young people see their own potential.
As an alternative provision, we support students in a way that works for them, turning “I can’t do maths” into “I’m getting there.”
Let’s break the stigma around maths and empower every learner to succeed, one step at a time!

How beautiful is this!! 🦢🤍
Today at Stanton Park, our outdoor learning students enjoyed spending time in nature and learning through new experiences.
From exploring the lakeside and observing wildlife up close, to building confidence through hands-on activities, every session is an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom.
Outdoor learning helps our students develop new skills, teamwork, curiosity, resilience and a real appreciation for nature, all while creating memories they’ll never forget.
What a wonderful reminder of how powerful learning outdoors can be!
