Established in 2006, our childcare setting has evolved and grown over the years, we place a lot of emphasis on learning through play and fun, we strive to ensure all children both achieve their full potential but also and just as importantly thoroughly enjoy the journey to get there, our main aim is to have all children ready in both development and confidence by the time they start school

ABOUT ME:
My name is Stephanie. My partner is a part time Childminder as he has gone and chased his dream job. I have hired a assistant which has been with me nearly a year now :)
I have been Registered since Jan 2006 and Dave was my registered Childminding Assistant from 2008 to 2011 then in March 2011 he became a fully registered and Ofsted inspected Childminder. We are both currently graded as GOOD by Ofsted, we were inspected January 2018. We live in Abbey Meads, we have been together nearly 19 years and we have 5 children, 3 sons aged 15, 13 and 8 years, and 2 daughter's aged 10Years and our youngest and last is 5 years. We have been providing childcare for the past 15 years, and thoroughly enjoy working with Children, I became a Childminder after being a teaching assistant in a nursery school, I realized that it was very rewarding offering the children my care in a happy and inspirational environment and to watch the children grow and develop. We live in a large 4 bedroom detached house situated in a great position within Abbey Meads, there are 3 rooms for childminding including a dedicated playroom. The large modern conservatory (main playroom) has a vast array of toys including kitchen, tool bench, cars, train table, ball pool, books, dressing up outfits, Barbies, dolls, prams and baby toys, plus many many more this room has also just received a large makeover, we updated many of the toys and resources, renewed all our storage units, resealed the windows and walls and had a carpet professionally laid which has vastly improved the warmth as well as making it feel much more cosy and inviting, this has aided us to be able to keep the playroom operational all year round whereas before we had to close up the conservatory during the cold winter months. We have a 10 Seat extendable dining room table where we all eat our breakfast, lunch and dinners, we have booster seats that fix into place on the seats for the younger children and 2 top of the range high chairs for the very young ones,the table also provides a large and safe space to do arts and crafts. We have a very spacious garden for the children to play in, (the gate is kept locked at all times for security Purposes). We have a 10ft trampoline with safety net attached and padded edges, also a see-saw, sandpit, 12ft swimming pool which comes out in the summer Play house and a climbing frame, water table, cars, bikes, scooters and plenty more toys and activities to keep them entertained in the garden for hours and hours. There is a downstairs toilet with a stool, potty and a childs toilet seat. Each child have their own coloured flannel to prevent the spread of germs. Additionally we love to take the children out of the setting on days out and trips, and for this we have a 8 seater which is fully registered and insured for business use. Our vehicle is, a 2010 (10 plate) Mercedes Viano XLWB 8 seater but can be changed to a 7 seater as we also have two captains chairs that we can swap one of the rear benches for with 7 seats installed we can also fit the pop up table, this is a brilliant vehicle for trips out as we can fit everything including the kitchen sink in the boot, with room to spare, and multiple Isofix fixing points,

raising our own 5 children has provided more experience than anything else. Dave:
He was a registered Childminding assistant for 13 years
Been fully Registered as Childminder for 10 year,
And as with me he has also raised our own 5 children. OUR QUALIFICATIONS:

NVQ 3 in childcare Passed 2013 . He is also looking into other courses to do. We are always seeking to improve our qualifications and try to attend as many training courses as time allows us. OUR AVAILABILITY:
We have places for 0-8 years, and plenty of space for 8-16
We are very flexible, we work 4 days a week and can start at 7am and finish at 6pm, we are willing to work earlier and later if it is required. however at the request of our children we gave up working weekends and will not consider any request to work them again as our children are getting older now it became apparent that they needed family time with just us and we used to work 7 days a week from 6am till 9pm, which our children were not happy with! we have therefore cut back our hours to 7am till 6pm but there is flexibility in these hours if absolutely needed, but unfortunately there is no flexibility in our weekend availability I'm afraid! We do work all year round however as our own family is growing older we have now decided to shut the business over the festive period and for approx 2 weeks over summer, usually our closures coincide with school holiday dates, however these dates can be negotiable should it be necessary. We already pick up from these school:

Bridlewood Primary School, Redhouse,
Any school/preschool will be considered so long as we can accommodate it in our existing routine, unfortunately this does mean we cannot accommodate Catherine Waite primary school as the times clash with other schools we also drop and pick up to and from
