A rare chance to come through the gates and buy at trade prices.

On Saturday 19 September, we’re opening the Bothy Gardens trade nursery for a special Open Trade Plant Sale.

This is a chance for garden designers, landscapers, serious gardeners and plant lovers alike to step inside the walled garden, explore what we’re growing and buy plants at trade prices.

Trade hour: 10–11
Open to everyone: 12–4

So whether you work in the industry or simply love good plants, come and have a look.

We are Open and full of PLANTS!

We’ve come a long way from grass and weeds to a nursery full of plants.

When we first found this wonderful quirky walled garden, it was essentially grass, weeds, a broken green and a rather big idea.

Since then, paths have appeared, the greenhouse has been restored, and polytunnels have gone up, beds have been made, trees have been planted and, most importantly, the nursery has begun to fill with plants.

And now we want those plants to start finding their way into gardens.

As we head towards autumn, this is a brilliant time to plan your next garden project. We have trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses and plenty of interesting things coming through the nursery, whether you’re planting in the next few weeks or planning for later in the season.

So come and see us walk the nursery, see what’s looking particularly good, talk through what you’re working on and perhaps find something you hadn’t planned for.

Bothy Gardens is now welcoming trade visits and plant enquiries for autumn projects.

The first workshop in our new space has happened! Even with only a framed structure and exposed installation it was the most beautiful space!

We are filling up with artists, meetings, workshops and full day trainings and can’t wait for the official launch in the beginning of 2027!

If you’re interested in testing this space as a pilot before the end of the year, send us a message!

For the past year, something has been quietly taking shape behind the wildflower meadow at Bothy Gardens.

What began as a simple idea has grown into the Garden Library. A unique space for meetings, workshops, creative gatherings and Living Lab experiences, all set within our restored Georgian walled garden.

It's still being completed, but we already have several bookings filling up a limited number of Winter 2026 pilot dates, ahead of our Opening Season in 2027.

It's been a bit warm... in case you hadn't noticed.

Despite the hosepipes getting plenty of exercise, the nursery is looking great, and we've got lots of unusual plants ready for new homes.
